THE TRIAL OF SPINOZA
Designed by Irene Liberman for a staged reading at West End Synagogue, this dramatic poster combines historical portraiture and expressive typography to evoke the controversy surrounding Spinoza’s excommunication. The drawing was taken from Rembrandt's "Painting Spinoza" by Sigmund Abeles.
